Schizostachyum brachycladum

‘Bali Golden Sacred’

Size: 35ft X 2 inches

Origin: South East Asia

A golden bamboo with light green intermittent striping.

When culms are young they are vibrant yellow and turn golden as they mature.

Schizostachyum brachycladum is a tight clumper that does not take up very much space. It has no bottom branching therefore shows off its exotic golden culms and large variegated leaves up high.

It is considered by many to be the most beautiful clumping bamboo in the world.

Brachycladum is a very sensitive plant that should not be planted in the wind because it may blow over.

Its thin walled culms are good for flutes and other crafts.
