One of the best windbreak plants because it is vigorous and dense. Branches all the way to the ground thus providing a thick privacy barrier. These plants should be spaced 15ft-20ft apart when planted in a hedge.

Bambusa malingensis’ straight, thick-walled culms are great for building and furniture making. 

Shoots are edible.
