Origin: China 

Long slender culms are perfectly straight, very hard, and thin-walled. Culms are bluish green with no bottom branching. A tight clumper with small dark green leaves.

Textilis is elegant, graceful and considered one of the most attractive bamboos available. Will thrive almost anywhere in Hawaii and is drought tolerant. 

One of the best choices for windbreak or privacy.

Edible shoots. Hard fiber dense culms can be used for light construction, furniture and weaving.
